Distance Learning

The transitional physical therapy program that I was looking at offered a version that was a distance education program.  This used to be a novelty, but these days online distance programs are becoming more commonplace than ever before.  Some schools that are fully accredited like ATSU in Arizona are both a traditional university and distance education friendly.    Online health doctorate programs are such a great option for busy individuals, as they career oriented people seem to be.  I know for myself that distance education was something that I specifically looked for as I was considering the next step in my education career.  I was very impressed with this specific school’s offering.

My sister had completed her MBA with a combination of traditional classroom based studies and an online component.  She thought that the online classes were more challenging than her classroom classes.  I think overall the preparation has to be a little more intense for the online classes because you have to impress what you know on an online forum, instead of in a physical setting.  You need to know what you are going to say and be able to prove it immediately!

I think you definitely have to be more organized when you are completing a long distance learning program. Because you are responsible for staying current with your classes and submitting them online, you have to make sure to plan your schedule.

It’s now easier than ever to continue your education and get a bachelor’s or master’s degree in almost any subject of your choice while still being able to work full-time.

Online classes aren’t only offered by “fake” colleges and universities any more. Many accredited colleges, like my alma mater, Kansas State University, offer online classes and degrees in many subjects and topics.

Be sure to compare the prices of taking an online course versus one in person. Yes, it might be more convenient, but there also might be additional fees that you need to take into consideration.

When you enroll in an online class, make sure that you have the proper software and internet capabilities in order to use the class software successfully. You must have consistent and reliable internet access so you can complete your assignments by their due dates.
