I Am Going Back to School to Do Something New

For years I worked as a realtor and although I loved the money, I hated the job. The long hours, the unstable schedule, and even the dangers of showing a home by oneself that this world now presents. Also, there are many times that I have had to leave family events to show a house that may not have even resulted in a sale. Therefore, in the current market when the sales are low it seems like a perfect time to explore my other options. Therefore I have decided to return to school to fulfill an associates degree.

Interestingly, even though I am loosing money right now I am really excited every time I sign on my computer to work on my web design associate degree online program. I used to work in computer programming before I went into real estate and I loved it. I never intended to sell houses very long but it was so difficult to replace the income which I earned so I just continued.

I was working on a general bs degree before my real estate career as well but I was always too busy to complete it. Now, I have the drive, and the time, and I am looking forward to putting the skills to work in a more satisfying career.

How to Get into the Home Care Industry

The other day my mother-in-law and I were talking about the home care industry as a potential source of jobs for her. She just moved to town and is looking for a job so that she can get a place and set some roots down. Since there are a lot of home care companies in our area looking for caregivers, we discussed it as a possibility.

My mother-in-law does not have a CNA, RN, or any other nurse certification, but I don’t think that would stop her from getting a position as a home care provider if she wanted. It really depends on the company you work for, though. Some like to see applicants who have already completed home care training, while others prefer to put employees through their own caregiver training programs. Some companies might consider experience in lieu of training, while others might want to see that you have special qualifications such as aphasia training.

It’s not as regulated an industry as nursing, which means that there is more opportunities — at the moment. I fully expect that the industry will see increased regulation over time, so if you want to break into the industry first and get the training afterward, now is probably the time to do so!

Some students insist that they have to go to an Ivy League school or they aren’t going to make it in life. Others say that the quality of the education matters more than the name on the school’s letterhead. The truth is that both things are true. It is important to go to the school that is right for you regardless of whether or not it ranks high on school ranking lists but there are certain times when the brand name of a school really does matter.

A recognized name has become that way not because of some sort of popularity contest but because the school is a good school. What U.S. AA Degrees Are Equivalent To

People who are interested in getting associates degrees may be planning to get a job immediately after graduation or they may be planning to continue on with their education.
