If someone told you that they were involved with several student clubs at their college, would you assume that they went to a large school? While it’s true that big universities offer a large number of clubs to their students, it’s important to realize that even small schools have clubs on campus.

One example of this is the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. This school is a small culinary school designed to teach students the art of cooking. You might think a specialty school like this wouldn’t be big enough to offer clubs. However, some research would show you that this school has more than one club on campus for its students to participate in.

Joining clubs as a student is important no matter what size college you are attending. In a large school, clubs can be a great way for you to meet new people and get settled in on a campus that could otherwise feel overwhelming. And at a small school, clubs can help you gain leadership skills and set yourself apart from the others in your graduating class.
