Choosing an Arizona College

Maybe you’re looking for graphic design programs in Arizona, or maybe you just want a good university where you can get away from your parents. Either way, here are some tips for choosing an Arizona college.
- Cost. Is it something you can afford? The way the credit crisis is looking right now, you don’t want to end up owing too much on student loans. Be careful you don’t bite off more than you can chew!
- Location. If you are not going to live on campus, be sure that the school isn’t too far from your home. Fuel prices keep rising and show no signs of stopping, and before you know it your commute might cost more than your tuition!
- Degree programs. If you are not sure yet of what your degree will be in, make sure the school offers a variety of degree programs that are a good match for you. If it is a specialized school — for instance, a graphic design school — be sure that’s what you want before you sign up.
These are just a few things you should watch for when choosing an Arizona college. Best of luck to you, and happy studying!

When it comes to health care, U of A is well known for its bachelors programs. Many here in Tucson though are just getting the nursing education through community college and then going straight to work. I’ve heard Arizona State University has a good program for those interested in business and architecture.
